Corssroad of Science and Religion

A new theory in cosmology which has been widely reported recently (Nature , Guardian) sounds much like the Hindu, Jain and Buddhist concepts of cyclical creation and mind-boggling timescales. This is what I’ve always thought, science and many Eastern religious/philosophical ideas will meet at one point. We are getting closer each scientific breakthrough at a time.

The universe is at least 986 billion years older than physicists thought and is probably much older still, according to a radical new theory. The revolutionary study suggests that time did not begin with the big bang 14 billion years ago…
